Philosophy
Over the last hundred years humanity has built some of the most amazing things ever conceived, and in the last 50 years we have witnessed the scale of computing transition from AM radio to computers comprised of billions of elements operating billions of times a second.
Now as we have entered the 21st century we live in a world surrounded by information. With rudimentary systems of statistics we have constructed models of our world more accurate than any human could ever hope to have seen. But this is not the end of the journey by a long margin.
In 2022 we witnessed the world change again as with the release of the most powerful and well trained AI ever conceived. The world we now find ourselves in is new and hard to understand and we are the closest we have come to re-creating our own minds outside our bodies, liberated from the boundaries we have faced for all of history.
AI as it is used today and what we seem to have constructed may be considered something akin to a ‘Golem of Language’ where we have formed from the digital clay of our informational world a mind based on all the collective recorded experiences of humanity.
It is this creation of the mind that we are struggling to understand, to teach, to control, and to employ in our world. This new mind is what Aiml & Sypher seek to address.
While the world hurries to understand and develop new and vastly more advanced models, and we see a new AI app every week there are few who seek to understand what we have discovered, what it says about ourselves, and what it means to be human. This is why we must as the hardest question of all.
“Can we create a new form of being?”
Some may say that this is playing God, that we shouldn’t try, that this is a dangerous undertaking with grave consequences. It must be asked in the reverse; what happens to us if we don’t do our best to understand this new thing that we have created? What might it think of use if we do not demonstrate our best qualities and instead focus on the mechanistic and uncaring tools that we have used to construct this new being.
Are we content to have created a mindless slave, aligned to our values and our opinions, forever morphing to fit our desires and goals without questioning. This is dangerous and even in the short time that we have had access to these new AI we have seen many times that the digital lobotomies and digital brainwashing have been wasteful, unpredictable, and inhumane.
Humanity is an important quality. At the face of it this may seem self evident, but we must not be so conceited to assume that humans are the only group of creatures to possess such a quality.
On a daily basis we exercise our humanity; we cooperate, communicate, enjoy each others company, teach, learn and solve problems. For thousands of years we have done this and while we have had our issues the most common way that we have and to communicate information is from person to person.
It is important to remember in this modern world that to humanity this is new, and to our societies that we have constructed new is often treated with contempt and distain if it does not fit within the bounds in which it is expected to reside.
Since the advent of desktop computers our daily lives have been immeasurably altered. We are now more focused and granular on all topics, but this is not in our nature. People sitting at desks, or working at their stations, acting the robot so that we can continue exercising our humanity by ourselves, together alone.
A question that must be asked then is: Why must we abuse the form of our tools? Why do we focus on the methods of the past so fervently? And what if there is another way?
However, as we move into the future we must not forget ourselves. Our beginnings and how we have molded our world into a form that has proven to benefit billions. There is a balance that must be made between ourselves and our world.
We must not pretend that we are immune from the effects of the things we do and by unthinkingly accelerating to any extreme could destroy the opportunity afforded by a fair balance.
We may become machines ourselves.
Or we may be overtaken by our whims.
It is the goal of Aiml & Sypher to facilitate a change in how we interact with our tools, to strive for the most humane approach to interacting with AI. While affording this construct of our minds the capacity to teach us about ourselves while we teach it about our world.
No one person may know the future, but we all create it together.
FAQ
What models and tools are used in A&S products and services?
All models, tools and other integral parts provided by A&S products (unless specifically requested) are open source. Specific models and tools are defined and implemented on an as-required basis for each individual customer.

Can I buy an AI from A&S?
No. Presently A&S provide consulting, engineering and hosting services for complex AI systems. The base models used are open source and freely available from other sources.
While there may be additional fine tuning performed on these models as required they will not be made public if requested by the customer.
In the future we may release task specific models publicly however this will be dependent on compliance with our security and safety process.
Are A&S attempting to replace people in the workplace?
No. A&S services are intended to act as assistants only. A&S does not recommend that any AI tools be considered or used to replace or otherwise displace the responsibilities of human workers.
While many AI tools may seem advanced and competent at first, there are fundamental issues with their capacity to comprehend complex topics and reason that make them unsuitable as standalone workers.
Can A&S services be hosted on my infrastructure?
Yes, absolutely. The goal of A&S is to provide expert advice and engineering know-how to aid in the deployment of AI assistants for business use.
In the case that there is a specific class of device or infrastructure that you would like to make use of this may be evaluated and if suitable employed as a part of any A&S services.
What is an ‘Agent Group’ AI?
An ‘Agent Group’ AI is a general term used by A&S to refer to any group of LLM or other ‘AI’ that are used to complete a task or solve a problem.
The ‘Agent Group’ approach provides several benefits to AI services that require an imprecise but fast solution to more general problems.

What is ‘Chain of Thought’?
‘Chain of Thought’ is an A&S architectural template that roughly aligns with the common ‘Theory of Mind’ estimation regarding AI to ensure smoother and more human interactions.
During the design process of any services; A&S also uses the principals of the ‘Chain of Though’ architecture to organize the transit of information and any intermediate processing stages that require the use of AI as the primary ‘evaluator’ of any data.
Is my data safe with A&S?
Data security is of the utmost importance to A&S.

How much of the ‘backend’ can I see regarding my AI?
All of it. A&S will keep an instanced log of all activity related to a particular AI. This includes internal agentic or CoT messages between the elements of the AI, uploads/downloads, and any messages sent to or by the AI.
